Guns Down America responds to President Biden exiting the 2024 Presidential Race

Washington, D.C. — Following the announcement that President Biden has withdrawn from the 2024 Presidential Election, Guns Down America Executive Director Hudson Munoz released the following statement:

“We are deeply grateful to President Joe Biden and his administration for working with us on the most productive four years in federal gun violence policy and leadership in history. There’s a lot we don’t know about what will happen in the coming weeks. Of two things, though, we are absolutely certain: The Biden-Harris administration leaves us safer than we were four years ago thanks to their action on gun violence, and that there is no election, no candidate, no world where Guns Down America stops tirelessly fighting to save our democracy from guns.”
