Momentum: Nearly 150,000 Sign Petition Demanding FedEx End Partnership with the NRA

February 27, 2018

WASHINGTON -- Guns Down, a bolder, broader movement calling for dramatically fewer guns in America has announced nearly 150,000 people have signed the organization’s petition demanding that FedEx stop offering large discounts to NRA members.

FedEx appears to be standing with the NRA even while more than a dozen major corporations, including Delta Airlines, United, Enterprise Holdings and insurance giant Chubb have all decided to stop doing business with the NRA. FedEx offers discounts up to 26 percent on FedEx shipping, an arrangement that is marketed by the NRA to members as a benefit of membership.

“We’ve had a massive groundswell of interest from ordinary Americans who understand that corporations should not be in the business of subsidizing the NRA’s reckless and irresponsible agenda that is costing us tens of thousands of lives every year,” said Igor Volsky, Director of Guns Down. “More than a dozen corporations in just the last week have come to realize that working with the NRA is bad for business. Does FedEx really want to be the last one standing with the gun lobby and helping it enact its radical “guns everywhere” agenda ?”
